Our Story
In the 70's, Jean Beaulac was repairing sewing machines and vacuum cleaners in the basement of his Rawdon home.
He was thinking big, but didn't know where to go yet. After attending a few exhibitions in the field, he negotiated a distribution agreement with the vacuum cleaner manufacturer TrendVac.

He then opened his first store. Customers came to him more to repair sewing machines and vacuum cleaners than to buy new or even used goods.
He decided, after some time in Rawdon, to move to a bigger city, allowing him to reach a larger clientele.

In 1978, he chose Joliette to open his second business: Accessoires Électriques Beaulac Inc.
As ambition takes over, Jean wants more. He quickly realized that an important player was missing in the industry in Quebec: a parts distributor for all brands.
A few years later, he decided to sell his business in Joliette and leave for Montreal, where an even greater challenge awaited him.

1982 marks the turning point in Jean's career. He established his company in Montreal under the name Distributions Jean Beaulac Inc.
From then on, many replacement parts were available to dealers. He found his way.

With 4 employees, Jean can now concentrate on finding new products to distribute. He also created the Association des détaillants d'aspirateurs du Québec (ADAQ) with some of them.

Jean creates a new company, Fibrofiltre 2000, in order to manufacture his own filters for Electrolux AP100 vacuums and outlet filters for central vacuums.

In 2000, Distributions Jean Beaulac moved to a 35,000 square foot facility and now offers several brands of vacuum cleaners.

In 2010, Johnny Vac decided to expand its offering and introduced cleaning products to its clientele, making the company a central point for all housekeeping needs.
In 2015, after battling cancer, Jean Beaulac leaves us and hands over to Alexandre to manage the family business.
In 2016, Johnny Vac adapted to market demand and technology trends by launching its first ever e-commerce site.
It is now easier for customers to place their orders.

In 2017, Johnny Vac expands its offering and sells its products in several big box stores.
In 2018, management decided to merge Fibrofiltre 2000 Inc and Johnny Vac: all activities of Fibrofiltre 2000 Inc now operate under the name Johnny Vac.
In 2021, Johnny Vac continues to grow and acquires a new office space, going from 39,000 square feet to 70,000 square feet.
In 2023, Johnny Vac has decided that it is time to rejuvenate its visual identity in order to meet certain brand development objectives.
The new logo brings with it a graphic structure that allows an orderly and effective deployment of the new image.
