The Untold Story of the Stick Vacuum
The Untold Story of the Stick Vacuum
The commercial and industrial world of vacuum cleaning is vast and profound; so much that many of us can be intimated. Indeed, there is many Vacuum Cleaner models, equipment, bags, functions, and specialties that you may ask yourself: is that a science? Of course not. However, when someone asks: "what does a vacuum cleaner ?" You will probably receive this obvious answer: to clean and get rid of the dust. Duh.

Now there's the real enemy: the dirt. Like any enemy, you want to be able to defend yourself, and that's why vacuum cleaners are so popular: you got the feeling of being on the right side and win the battle against the dirt and the dust. That's why we at Johnny Vac have had the idea of this blog where we will be talking of all kinds of aspects for the vacuum cleaner industry, like products, accessories, innovations, what it has made for or how to use a unit; from a simple brush to new trends. For every new post, we will have a subject on which we will give our opinion. Everybody is invited to give his thoughts and impressions on our jobs. For this first post, our theme is The Stick Vacuum. There is no doubt that the introduction of the Stick Vacuum was a revolution in the vacuum cleaner industry.

Because the biggest problem that we face with a vacuum cleaner unit is where can we store it? The Stick Vacuum settle this problem with the possibility of disposing the unit about anywhere in the house/apartment. Today, all the manufacturers have their model, and many people will not use any other kind of group. Of course, you will have many possible models depending on the money that you'll are ready to spend on a Stick Vacuum. However, a "bad choice" is to use the Stick Vacuum as the only cleaning device for the entire house. Then the inevitable happens: the Stick Vacuum becomes less efficient, the owner is disappointed and thinks that it was a bad purchase.

Maybe the reason why people confuse is behind the publicity made around the "Powerful Cyclonic Technology." That why the Stick Vacuum is as good as any other vacuum of the industry. Moreover, the technology our days is so advanced that, like computers, vacuum cleaner get smaller and smaller with the same, if not superior, power than before. Unfortunately, No. The battery is a good indicator of its "weakness" to fulfill a task that belongs to vacuum cleaners (upright, canister or central vacuums). People get disappointed by the efficiency of their Stick Vacuum, but do they realize that a stick vacuum is reliable on a restricted use? Even though the battery autonomy is fantastic; it can never entirely replace a good old real vacuum cleaner.

Many Stick Vacuum ads are like any toothbrush one, where only the best scientists are developing a product with futuristic technologies and knows secrets that no other holds. Poor Stick Vacuums, you have been overrated. Your intentions are not, with your too small battery, to clean an entire house all by yourself. Poor Stick Vacuums, let us tell the world that you were created to clean small messes in a big (or not so big) house, to work alongside a bigger cleaning device or to clean a modest two bedroom apartment. A stick vacuum is a magnificent tool to save time; great to help the people having mobility problems, who lives in a tiny apartment or for those who cannot (or don't want to) handle a standard vacuum. Its use is undeniable, but it is important to remember the limits of a Stick Vacuum. As a wise man said: "The autonomy is a discipline."
