Power Nozzle or a Turbo airbrush?
Power Nozzle or a Turbo airbrush?

The experimented sellers in the field of the vacuum cleaner from Quebec are well aware of this reality: it is in the United States and in English Canada that is sold most of the electric brooms, while in Quebec, sales are disappointing. Why? Simply because in Quebec, most of the houses are not equipped with carpets as it is the case for our neighbors of the South and in the rest of Canada. In Quebec, it's the airbrushes which are popular. This observation brings us to wonder:  what are the big differences between the electric broom and the airbrush, beyond the simple fact of having or no carpet?

At first a simple definition of these two types of brooms. The electric broom possesses a brush which is activated by an electric motor; the airbrush does not possess a motor and the activation is created by the power of the suction which makes turn the brush. A vacuum cleaner equipped with an electric broom has to have an electric hose, which is not the case for an airbrush. So, it is a big advantage to possess an airbrush because we can put it on all the types of units, if the dimensions are the good ones, of course.

Assets and inconveniences of each of the brooms: the big advantage of the electric broom is undoubtedly its power. When it's used on a carpet, we can have the certainty to clean in depth, because the motor which feeds this type of broom is generally powerful and is completely devoted to the activation of the brush. You can especially use it everywhere: carpets of all kinds as on any floors with hard surfaces, as well as on long-haired carpets (shaggy). For an airbrush, we can also use it everywhere except on the long-haired carpets. The depth or the quality of the work made with the airbrush depends completely on the performance of your device. A new and powerful vacuum cleaner will suit perfectly for an airbrush; a worn and badly maintained device will give only mediocre results.

The big inconvenience of the electric broom is unarguably its price. A good electric broom is sold around 200 $ and more. It is also unthinkable to use an electric broom on wet surfaces (as the entrance of a business place). And as his name indicates it, it works with the power of electricity and will add on your electric bill. And finally, the noise. An electric broom is noisy, what adds to the noise releases your vacuum cleaner and give a real cacophony. For the airbrush, the price of a quality article is around 175 $. You can find a standard airbrush for less than 100 $. The high qualities of this type of brush are:  able of being used on a waterlogged surface, and cleaning with a low level of noise. However, you have to avoid getting a poor quality airbrush: it will never do the work. Quality (so the price) is the main word with airbrushes.

So between the electric broom and the airbrush, it is a question of reason. If you want an electric brush for your business place, the chalet or the garage, it is maybe not the right choice. For a house equipped with carpets, yes. And for the airbrushes, you must get one of quality and forget the cheap one.
